
New offices in Mexico, Colombia and Peru

Designed to simplify academic planning in universities and institutes under criteria for optimizing and gaining further control over human resources and infrastructure; “U-planner” entered the market with a project supported by Fundacion Chile.
The initiative is meant to implement technological solutions in higher education. It uses algorithms to optimize costs, student experience excesses, student retention and consequently, makes big contributions to the quality of education and accreditation.
As of the beginning of 2016 U-Planner manages 32 educational institutes that have placed their trust in the company and solutions. There are 580,ooo students under their care distributed over 130 campuses in four countries: Chile, Mexico, Colombia and Peru.
The system makes significant savings in teaching costs, improving educational quality and delivery of service. In the same manner the initiative takes into account the use of infrastructure, allowing educational establishments to take on more students without having to invest in infrastructure.
In June 2015 U-Planner launched a new product called U-Improve, developed in conjunction with the University of Sydney, a prestigious university in Australia that today is ranked 45th in the Q5 World University Rankings® 2015/2016 (May 2016). The product has already been implemented in several universities with wide renown such as the Pontific Catholic University of Chile.
“2015 was a successful year for U-Planner. We grew as a company, mad cover 25 new associations with institutions for higher education, and developed several new products that cover the needs of our clients. The opening of three new offices is progress toward consolidating our presence in those countries, the goal being to become the market leader in Latin America” says Juan Pablo Mena, General Manager of U-Planner.

New Products
In February of this year U-Planner launched two new products, U-Learning and U-Strategy. The first – integrated into the U-Improve solution, allows the company to check and analyze the information from a more macro perspective. It forms part of curricular design and the graduate profile and extends all the way down to student to student interaction; in effect it generates active feedback between U-Learning and curricular design both efficiently and transparently.
U-Strategy, is alternatively a support tool for strategic project management for educational institutes, offering traceability and necessary visibility for these projects to be successful, and they also set the scene for efficient and effective management. Their components don’t just cover project management but also provide data visualization and bring business intelligence.
